Response to Active Shooter Course
An “Active Shooter” is actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill targets of opportunity in a populated area. In an active shooting situation there may be no pattern or method to their selection of victims. Other situations involve spontaneous domestic violence toward family or acquaintances in public places. These situations are dynamic and evolve rapidly, demanding immediate deployment of law enforcement resources to stop the shooting and mitigate harm to innocent victims. Suggested training will cover the principles of Responding to an Active Shooter Crisis in an academic and practical arena.
